Femi Salau enlisted in Kmart detective unit in 2005. Before then he joined the uniform security where he worked for Special Bureau Services now called Madison Security Group for about one year.
Obafemi has worked actively at several Kmart stores including 4248, 3201 and the second largest Kmart location in Northeast region, astor place Kmart location 7777. While working store detective in New York, Obafemi earned his associate degree in Liberal Arts.Bachelor Of Arts in Political Science at College of Staten Island and Bachelor Of Science at John Jay college of Criminal Justice. Both colleges he attended are under City University of New York(CUNY). Salau Obafemi has detected a lot of thefts for his employer.Kmart which include cases that made news in Staten Island Advance and New York Times.
Salau Obafemi was awarded the best manager in New York/ New Jersey District Kmart for 3rd quarter period of 2008 and also best manager in the same NY/NJ for 4th quarter of 2009.
Loss Prevention Key Points, An Introduction to retail store detective unit is the first book Obafemi has authored and he intends to write more books in the future.
Presently Obafemi Salau runs Adequate Security as the Director of the company. He earned a Master Degree in Liberal Studies at College of Staten Island and also studing English Law with University of London where he intends to receive his law degree(LLB).
Salau Obafemi has always taken safety first in all steps he takes and it could be seen in the company's motto which stipulate the idea of safety starts at Adequate Security. "The average man does not want to be free. He simply wants to be safe." H. L. Mencken
In August 2010 Obafemi's Comapany was approved as NYS Certified Armed Guard and his company Adequate Security has also has been approved as a Security Gaurd Service and Patrol Agency in the whole of New York States which gives Adequate Security a permit to hire their own security guard in New York.
Salau Obafemi also has a general topic security guard instructor license issued by NYS Department of State, Division of Criminal Justice.
Adequate Security is also a training provider for workforce one in New York, a program put together by goverment to assist residence of New York in finding jobs.
